Scan Tickets

Before scanning tickets, you'll want to set up the Hudl Ticket Reader app. The process will look a bit different if you're a new ticketing user or a returning ticketing user.

The Hudl Ticket Reader app is available on both iOS and Android devices.

New Ticketing User

  1. Open the Hudl Ticket Reader app and click Get Started.

  2. Enter your name, email address and access code. Click Continue.

    The access code is unique to the organization. A team admin can provide the access code by following this tutorial.

  3. The app will ask to access the device's camera. Click OK.

    If you don't allow the app access to the camera, you won't be able to scan tickets.

  4. Select an event to scan tickets.

  5. Review the scanning tips and click Scan Tickets.

  6. Align the ticket's QR code with the lines on the app.

  7. A green check will appear indicating the ticket has been scanned successfully.

    The app will automatically go to a 'Ready' state after each scan to allow you to continue scanning tickets.

  8. If the scan is unsuccessful, an error message will pop up detailing the error.

    Depending on the error, click Scan Another, Retry Scan or Scan Another Code to try scanning the ticket again.

Returning Ticketing User

  1. Open the Hudl Ticket Reader app and click Continue.

  2. Confirm the information is correct and click Yes.

    If the information is incorrect, click No and make any necessary edits to the information.

  3. Select an event to scan tickets.

  4. Review the scanning tips and click Scan Tickets.

    If previous tickets haven't uploaded yet, click Finish Uploading to finalize uploading those tickets.

  5. Align the ticket's QR code with the lines on the app.

  6. A green check will appear indicating the ticket has been scanned successfully.

    The app will automatically go to a 'Ready' state after each scan to allow you to continue scanning tickets.

  7. If the scan is unsuccessful, an error message will pop up detailing the error.

    Depending on the error, click Scan Another, Retry Scan or Scan Another Code to try scanning the ticket again.


FAQs

Do I need a Hudl account to use the Hudl Ticket Reader app?

Nope! You don't need a Hudl account to use the Hudl Ticket Reader app. You will need an access code that is unique to the organization to use the Scanner app. The Ticket Administrator will be able to find the organization's access code from the Ticketing page of their Hudl account.

Is wifi needed to use the Hudl Ticket Reader app?

It's best to be connected to the wifi while using the app so the tickets will upload.

What will happen if the tickets don't upload while being scanned?

Tickets not uploaded will push a message in the app directing you to finish uploading previous events tickets.

Why do I need to allow access to the camera on the device?

The camera is how the tickets are scanned. Without the camera, the Scanner app won't be able to scan tickets.
