Requirements and Recommendations for Production Truck

Requirements

Production Truck is a software application that runs on Mac and Windows. The specifications of the computer will determine the number of cameras that can be used with that computer as well as the number of replay seconds that can be captured. The following examples are separated by models but the processors and memory (RAM) are the key influencers when it comes to the number of seconds captured for replay and the number of cameras the computer can handle.

Mac

Best Quality

  • Operating System: macOS 11+ (Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey, or Ventura)
  • Model Year: 2019+
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 or i7 (Quad or 6 Core) or Apple M1/M2
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Hard Drive: 512GB
  • 4 Thunderbolt Ports

Capabilities:

  • 2-4 cameras
  • up to 1080p streaming quality
  • 4 camera replay + Live feed replay

Minimum

  • Operating System: macOS 10.14+ (Mojave or newer)
  • Model Year: 2016+
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 or i3
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Hard Drive: 128GB
  • 2+ Thunderbolt Ports

Capabilities:

  • 1-2 cameras
  • up to 720p streaming quality
  • Single camera replay

Windows

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-10750H @2.6 GHz
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Hard Drive 512GB

  • 2-4 Cameras
  • up to 1080p stream quality

Minimum

  • Operating System: 64-Bit Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8300H @ 2.3 GHz
  • GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Hard Drive 128GB

Capabilities:

  • 1-2 Cameras
  • up to 720p stream quality

Production Truck on Mac is considered our Pro version of the software and contains additional features, not available on Windows, such as; Instant replay, Social media sharing, Program output, Scoreboard OCR, and Official Video Review

Recommendations

Mac

If you're buying a new machine to run Production Truck on Mac, we recommend the 14” or 16" MacBook Pro with the following configurations (or greater). These recommendations will allow you to run Production Truck with all of its features

  • M1 Pro (10 core) or M2 CPU
  • 16GB Universal Memory
  • 512GB hard drive storage or more

Windows

If you're buying a new machine to run Production Truck on Windows, we recommend some of the following computers or their equivalents:

  • ASUS 15.6" Republic of Gamers Strix G15 Series Gaming Laptop (Eclipse Gray, 2021)
  • Acer 15.6" Predator Triton 300 Gaming Notebook
  • MSI 17.3" GE75 Raider Gaming Notebook

Windows computers should have a dedicated graphics card in order to run Production Truck at recommended settings.
