Mac OS X and Sportscode Compatibility

To ensure continued access to the latest features and improvements in Hudl Sportscode, we recommend upgrading to the latest macOS version available. However, if you're mid-season, we recommend waiting until the end of your season to update.

Hudl Sportscode will be supported on macOS 12 (Monterey), macOS 13 (Ventura) and macOS 14 (Sonoma).

Recent Operating Systems

macOS 13.0 Ventura was released in October 2022 and macOS 14 Sonoma was released in September 2023. Similar to Big Sur and Monterey, Ventura and Sonoma don't support 32-bit applications.


Before you update, consider these things:

  • Sportscode V11 will not run on Big Sur or Monterey. You can convert your files from v11 to Hudl Sportscode.
  • Blackmagic devices are not supported on Big Sur or Monterey. Our capture recommendations for Hudl Sportscode can be found here.

Supporting old­er oper­at­ing sys­tems reduces our abil­i­ty to fix bugs and make enhance­ments to our prod­ucts. By sup­port­ing only the new­er ver­sions of macOS, it’s eas­i­er for us to quick­ly respond to issues and build new features.
