Live Stream From a Volleymetrics Camera

Make sure your computer is on the same network as your camera in order to live stream. Being in the same building usually works.

  1. If you do not already have VLC Media Player on your computer, click here to download it.

  2. Open VLC Media Player on your computer.

  3. Press Ctrl + N to open up network options.

  4. Enter rtsp://username:password@ipaddress:554/axis-media/media.amp where the camera’s name, password, and ip address is. Click Open.

    Enter your camera's internal IP address to live stream, as opposed to the external IP address you use to record through the Volleymetrics portal.

  5. Click Play.

If you pause the video, wait 5 seconds, then hit play, VLC will play the stream from your camera on a 5 second delay. Alternatively, if you wait 20 seconds while it is paused, then it will play with a 20 second delay.
