Import Opta Football Data

Opta data imports are available in Sportscode Pro, Pro Review, Elite and Elite Review. Interested in upgrading?

  1. Import your video into Sportscode by creating a new video package. Once completed, keep the movie package open.

  2. Take the playhead and scrub the kickoff/start of the match in the Sportscode timeline.

  3. Navigate to File > Import and select Opta Football.

    The process is the same for Opta Rugby data. See this tutorial.

  4. Select the F24 Opta XML file. The associated srml file (also called the F7 file) must also be present in the same location to import the XML data correctly. Then click Open.

    Double check that the align with playhead option is selected. This will align based on the start/kickoff code.

  5. Once it has finished importing, it will appear in the video package.
