Create Clips (Computer)

  1. Log in to Hudl.com and click Video.

  2. Click the video thumbnail you'd like to watch.

  3. Click Create Clip to generate a clip.

    A 7-second clip will be created at the moment in the video where you click Create Clip.

  4. Click the created clip to adjust the duration.

  5. Adjust the duration of the clip by dragging the ends closer together or farther away.

  6. Click the zoom icon to adjust clips longer than 20 seconds.

  7. When finished, click Save Clip.

  8. Click Send to Highlights to save that clip as a team or athlete highlight or click Share in Playlist to save it to a playlist.

    You can create more than one clip to save as a playlist or highlight. Just click Create Clip to make a new one.


FAQs

Am I able to rename the clips I create?

Yes! You can rename a clip by clicking on the Clip at 0:00 text of the clip.

Create Clips (iOS)

  1. Log in to the Hudl app and tap Video.

  2. Select the video thumbnail you'd like to watch.

  3. Tap the + icon to generate a clip.

    Clips default at seven seconds in length. The start of the clip will begin four seconds prior to when the + icon was tapped.

  4. To view your clips, tap Your Clips.

    If your game has not been tagged you will not need to tap Your Clips. They will appear on the right side of your screen.

  5. Tap a created clip to edit it.

    Tap the Select icon to choose multiple clips at once.

  6. Tap the Send to Playlist icon.

  7. Save the clip to an existing playlist or create a new one.

  8. Tap the Send to Highlights icon.

  9. Choose to save that clip as a team or athlete highlight.

    Create as many clips as you'd like before sending to a highlight or playlist. You can select all created clips at once or select individual ones.

  10. Tap the Scissor icon to adjust the length of the clip.

  11. Adjust the dura­tion of the clip by drag­ging the ends clos­er togeth­er or far­ther away. Tap Done when finished

  12. Tap the Edit Pencil icon to rename the clip.

  13. Tap the Trash Can icon to delete this clip from the Your Clips menu.

  14. Tap the back arrow to return to the Your Clips menu to continue working.
