Convert Large Files in Handbrake (Windows)

  1. Click here to download the current version of Handbrake.

  2. Click Open Source.

  3. Select your file(s) under Source Selection.

    If you have multiple files to convert, use the Folder (Batch Scan) option. Otherwise, choose File.

  4. Click Browse if you'd like to modify your destination folder.

  5. Enter a name in the Save As field.

  6. Click Add to Queue.

  7. Click Start Encode.

Convert Large Files in Handbrake (Mac)

  1. Click here to download the current version of Handbrake.

  2. Click Open Source.

  3. Choose your file, then click Open.

    To select multiple video clips, put all clips in one folder and select the folder as shown above, then click Open.

  4. Click Browse if you'd like to modify your destination folder.

  5. Enter a name in the Save As field.

    Be careful not to modify the file extension (.mp4) or the path (.../Desktop/).

  6. Navigate to the Preset dropdown. Select General > Fast720p30.

  7. Click Start.

  8. When the conversion is complete, you'll see the following message. Now the video is ready to be uploaded to Hudl.com.


Strip Audio from Your Video

  1. Complete steps 1-8 above.

  2. Click Add to Queue and select Add All Titles to Queue.

  3. Navigate to the Audio tab.

  4. Under the Tracks dropdown, select Remove All Tracks.

  5. Click Browse to choose a location to save your files to.

  6. Click Start Queue.

Alternatively, use a preset. Download the preset ( 720p, 1080p), open Handbrake, navigate to Presets, then click Import. After you've imported the preset, you can select it and convert normally.
